1 PHASE 1 LESSON 1 TODAY IS WHERE YOU CHOSE TO GO YESTERDAY
(WITH EMPHASIS ON LOVE PASSAGES)

2 GOD’S LOVE FOR US John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. John 15:9 Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.

3 GOD’S LOVE FOR US John 17:26 “And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.” Romans 5:5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

4 OUR LOVE OF GOD – A CHOICE
Matthew 22:37 Jesus said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.”  John 14: 23 Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him John 14:15“If you love Me, keep My commandments.”

5 OUR LOVE OF GOD – A CHOICE
1 John5:1-3 Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments.  For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. 1 Corinthians 8:3 But if anyone loves God, this one is known by Him.

6 OUR REWARD FOR LOVING GOD
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written:     “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,     Nor have entered into the heart of man     The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” Ephesians 5:24 Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.

7 OUR REWARD FOR LOVING GOD
Psalm 103:1-5 Bless the Lord, O my soul;     And all that is within me, bless His holy name!     Bless the Lord, O my soul,     And forget not all His benefits:     Who forgives all your iniquities,     Who heals all your diseases,     Who redeems your life from destruction,     Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies,     Who satisfies your mouth with good things,     So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

8 NOT LOVING GOD – A CHOICE
1 Corinthians 2:22 If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be accursed. O Lord, come! Galatians 6:7-8 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.  For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. Luke 9:26  For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory, and in His Father’s, and of the holy angels.

9 WHEN WE SIN AGAINST GOD 1 Corinthians 15:3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 1 John 1:8-10 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

10 WHEN WE SIN AGAINST GOD Psalm 79.9 Help us, O God of our salvation,
For the glory of Your name;     And deliver us, and provide atonement for our sins,     For Your name’s sake! Psalm 86:5 For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive,     And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You.
