EVENT BACKGROUND The Ted Noffs Foundation was founded by the great Australian humanitarian, Reverend Ted Noffs, in During his remarkable career of pioneering initiatives for young people, Ted Noffs established Sydney’s first 24 hour crisis centre in 1968, set up the first Drug Referral Centre in Sydney in 1967, co-founded the Aboriginal Affairs Foundation in 1962 and was the co-founder of Lifeline in The Ted Noffs Foundation today continues the legacy of Ted Noffs by providing essential services for young people and their families who are experiencing drug and alcohol problems and related trauma. EVENT DETAILS The OVAL- in the day time, the oval will be set up for games and activities. The participants will be from the UNSW sporting groups, we are currently contacting all the groups, and asking them to sponsor a team with-in their sports group for the games day. Roundhouse can have a sausage sizzle set-up at the day event, to make some profits/ or the ARC can set-up a sausage sizzle for profits. We are proposing this event to be a joint effort between Ted Noffs, Roundhouse, ARC and our event team. Examples of GAMES planned for sports day competition are on the next slide, these can be done in a relay style.

THE OVAL

EVENT GAMES Speed activities - 3walk- (forward to 5mins and 10 seconds) barriers relay - ball transfer - [use newspaper and table tennis balls insteadhttp:// jump-run- (one way jump+run/ return all run back) throw eggs – group throw eggs in a distance, see which group catch the most no of non broken eggs. The games will start with gathering all the groups together and the games will require one representative from each team. This setting can help heat up the atmosphere. After the individual games, we will move on to team games, which will require teamwork within a group. These are preliminary ideas, we are still refining them.

Games Concept

EVENT DETAILS Sports themed party at ROUNDHOUSE in association with ARC, we would be thrilled if the roundhouse considered donating the venue for the event, for the evening- making them the venue sponsor- that way we can put that on marketing materials. In the evening after the day of sports at the ovals, we want to host a sports themed party (come dressed in sports gear), at the roundhouse. The party will be attended by all the participants and will be open to others, we propose to charge a $10 dollar entry for everyone, in order to raise funds for tednoffs. The roundhouse will be decorated by us in a sports related themed, we will plan drinking games for the night, For example: Have envelopes stuck in random places at the roundhouse, if people find them, it can get them free drinks, etc.

PARTY CONCEPT

EVENT Costing Budgeted cost of event $2750 (this is taking into fact if we get a free venue at roundhouse- and ARC does the event with us) Our plan is to charge the sporting teams $25 per head for entry into the day event at the oval And charge $10 entry to the sports party We are also contacting potential sponsors, such as REDBULL and V energy drink, to see if they can help out to cover costs and make the event bigger and better

EVENT Marketing Posters will be placed at UNSW, UTS, COFA Campus to generate interest. If ARC comes on board, then we can advertising via BLITZ Our main point of getting teams to join the sporting day will be contacting the various sporting/activity groups at UNSW directly, via s will follow up calls.
