Any and all UF students are welcome and we proudly maintain members from all disciplines (Pre-med, Pre-pharm, Pre-nursing, Pre-health professional, etc.). HOSA’s mission is to provide leadership development, impactful community service opportunities, and on-campus involvement.

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS There are no dues required from members who want to participate in HOSA at UF activities To remain an active member of HOSA at UF, this Spring you must attend events listed below. Each event you attend is worth one point unless stated otherwise. The HOSA E-board will track your points for you and every event will fall under one of the following categories. To be active you must attend:  Two social events  Three volunteer events  General Body meetings If you have any questions/concerns about this system, please contact any of our officers!

FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE HOSA’s fundraising committee is devoted to planning fundraisers, contacting local businesses, and getting more involved with the community If this is something you would be interested in. 11. COMMUNITY HEALTH SUMMIT COMMITTEE Community Health Summit is a health conference hosted by HEROES and HOSA at UF **One of our last few events to gain a service point toward active membership!! Date: Thursday, April 2, 2015 @ 6 PM at the Florida Gym It is a great chance to network with health professionals and get free food/door prizes! RELAY FOR LIFE COMMITTEE Relay for Life is a fundraising event that helps communities across the globe fight back against cancer Date: April 10-11, 2015 at Flavet Field Theme: A World Without Cancer There will be a committee meeting next week Register for our team for a $10 fee 1 point for participation

13. TYLER’S HOPE COMMITTEE What is Dystonia?  A neurological movement disorder  Painful, abnormal positions  3 rd most common movement disorder (behind tremors & Parkinson’s)  Over ½ million cases in USA What is Tyler’s Hope?  Tyler’s Hope was created by the Staab family in Gainesville whose son was first diagnosed with Dystonia  Their objective is to raise awareness and money for Dystonia research  They have already raised over 3 million dollars If you’re interested in joining our Tyler’s Hope Committee and working with this organization, please join our group below or speak to our officer, Meghan White

NEW EXECUTIVE BOARD ELECTIONS As this year comes to an end, the 2014-2015 E-board will be choosing the new E-board for 2015-2016 Please check your emails as applications will be emailed out this week After receiving your application we will email you about setting up n interview date. If you have any questions about your eligibility to become a future member of the HOSA E-board please contact us!
