 How are global publishing and information conglomerates dictating curriculum?  How is global media and entertainment industry affecting our classrooms?  Is for-profit education global expansion creating deeper inequality?  How does globalization contribute to imbalanced in the distribution of the world's educated population?  What essential skills and experiences would be required to meet global markets?  What if China becomes the world’s largest economy?

 How will society balance human capital education versus progressive educational model?  What tensions are created between extreme diversity and deep localism?  How does brain drain in poorer countries and brain gain in richer countries impact global education?  How does globalization and incorporation of education impact students?

 How does global education help combat global warming – will it be too little too late?  How will increase global awareness and responsibility impact global education?  What role does education play in addressing global health problems?

Uncertainties  Learning would increasingly be seen as a commodity or as an investment rather than as a way of exploring what might make for the good life or human flourishing  What connects — and divides — nations, societies and cultures in today's rapidly changing world  What will empower young people to cooperate and to find their niche in an ever-globalizing social order  To what extend will emerging megacities present conditions that will require new infrastructure and new adaptive strategies

Uncertainties  With population density increasing dramatically, environmental crisis looming threatening, a more interconnected global society, there are increasing signs of global health issues  Irreversible effects of pollution and global warming  Shift in political, economical, and cultural approaches as China becomes a major global economy
