What are Power Ups? Power Ups! are small things you can do quickly to increase confidence, stamina, and resilience in the face of a challenge.

YOU are the Hero of your own Game! YOU are POWERFUL! (No, really!) You have special powers that you can access ANYTIME you need them: – Physical power – Mental focus, determination, grit – Emotional Strength – Social Connection You activate your powers by using POWER UPS!

Power Up #1: Physical Power Make two fists and punch them up over your head! Hold them up for 5 seconds!

Power Up #2: Mental Focus Count backwards from 100 by 5’s – FAST!

Power Up #3: Happiness What’s your favorite baby animal? Baby animals make humans feel happy.

Power Up #4: Social Connection Shake your neighbor’s hand and say “ Good job, _________!” Making contact and sharing positive messages helps us feel connected – and Connection is POWER!
