2 How Does It Feel Brainstorm feelings such as angry, sad, lonely etc
Recently we talked about how we might feel when talking and listening do not go well. What were some of the things we talked about? Today we are going to sing a song about feelings. Some of you might know this song but there could be some new words. Brainstorm feelings such as angry, sad, lonely etc

3 Sing If you’re happy and you know it clap your hands. (clap, clap) If you’re happy and you know it then you really ought to show it. Next verse……. If the class requires it, ask them to repeat the words after you and then sing the whole song through, else most class members should follow the pattern of the song after the first verse .

4 If you’re angry and you know it count to ten.
Sing If you’re angry and you know it count to ten. (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10) If you’re angry and you know it sometimes the best way you can show it….. Next verse……….

5 If you’re sad and you know it, tell a friend.
Sing If you’re sad and you know it, tell a friend. (I’m sad.) If you’re sad and you know it, sometimes the best way you can show it…….. Last verse…………….

6 Sing If you’re great and you know it, say hooray. (hooray!) If you’re great and you know it then you really ought to show it……… And that’s the end of the song. Sing the whole song through, or else ask what the song said we should do when we are angry or sad. What other ideas do the students have for actions when they are happy, sad, angry or just great. Fit one or two ideas into a verse. Eg When you’re angry and you know it, just wiggle your nose……….. Write the ideas on the next slide and then sing them as a class.
