Presentation transcript:

It’s a nice sunny day and you have a new bike that you’ve been wanting to ride. But before you can ride there are a few precautions you have to take. I can be reached by at

With a partner, look at different websites and design a poster that shows what you need to do before and during a bike ride. Then, on your own, make a separate paper titled “parent”.

There are four steps you need to complete to finish your poster. First fold a poster in half. Open it up. Label the left side “Before” and the right side “after”. Then on your own paper, make a “parent” section.

Gear Up Before you ride your bike, you need to find out what to wear. Click on the bicycle to read an article (or click “listen” to listen to the article). To go back to process, click here

Bike Check Now that you’re all geared up, it’s time to check your bike. On the left side of the poster (the “before” side), write the five things you need to check before you can go on the bike ride. Click on the bicycle to learn about these five things you need to check. To go back to process, click here

Rules Of The Road Now look up the rules bicyclists must take on the road. On the right side of your poster (the “after” side), write a few rules that you need to follow while on your bike ride. Click on the different bikes to look at different websites. To go back to process, click here

Look Out Click on the bicycle below to learn what parents are supposed to do while you ride. Individually on your own piece of paper labeled “parent”, write and draw pictures of what your parent or guardian should be doing while you are riding your bike. Then click on the arrow to go to the Evaluation. Evaluation To go back to process, click here
