WHAT TO MUNCH AT LUNCH How to pack a healthy lunchbox that your child will enjoy

WHAT DO THE STUDIES SHOW? Healthy eating: Benefits student behavior Enhances school performance Improves concentration in the classroom Sugary breakfasts cause kids to eat larger lunches Skipping breakfast leads to hyperactivity, lower test scores, and less-desirable behavior

BREAKFAST ON-THE-GO Breakfast Parfait Low-fat yogurt, granola, and fruit Cereal-to-go Cereal bar and mini carton of milk Breakfast Pizza Whole wheat bagel, strawberry cream cheese, and sliced fruit Fruit smoothie and toast Low fat yogurt, frozen fruit, ice, and fruit juice with a side of whole wheat toast

Change the lunchbox up by replacing an ice pack with a frozen bottle of water or fruit juice Squeeze a fresh lemon or orange into water bottle Fruit and chocolate sauce Oatmeal chocolate chip cookie Handful of sugary cereal Don’t forget the dessert! Don’t forget the drink!
