Class Goals In the Instructional Technology class participants will: 1. learn to use technology in new ways to teach 21 st Century skills such as problem solving, critical thinking, analysis of information and communicating about content. 2. learn to incorporate digital storytelling, blogs, wikis, podcasts and Web 2.0 tools to instruct within an instructional unit. 3. develop an instructional unit lesson plan featuring these new skills for use immediately following this class.

Computer Literacy Test 1. Go to 2. Select your district: Kirkland Elementary School District 3. Select your school: Kirkland Elementary School 4. Under address, click “crate an account”. The password is “arizona”. 5. Fill in First Name, Last Name, and password. Click “verify”. 6. When finished and you are really logged in, proceed to “complete the inventory of Teacher Technology Skills”. 7. When finished, print a copy of your results and hand it to Ben. Would this test be appropriate for 5/6 th grades? If so, you can follow the onscreen prompts to create a class and then get students logged in to take the test.
