4 Daily Objectives Identify 21 st Century Skills. Describe and recognize the importance of planning, curriculum, instruction, and assessment in elementary education. Identify basic components of lesson plans. Conceive rudimentary lesson plans using concept mapping software.

5 In groups of 6, share your lesson plans of 21st Century Skills.

6 Why do the 21st Century Skills exist and what are they? Review

7 Language arts, Math, Science, Social studies, Foreign language, Arts Real-world examples, Experiences in and out of schools, relevant, engaging, and meaningful content, Global awareness Financial, economic, and business literacy Civic literacy Information and communication Thinking and problem solving Interpersonal and self- directional ICT literacy (including higher-level skills, critical thinking, and intelligent, creative, and ethical use of technology

10 Work in triads to conceive a 5-minute lecture- based lesson. Include your names, what you will teach (from the CCSD CEF), how you will teach it, and how you will assess student learning. When finished, email a copy to each group member and print a copy for the instructor. Go to Inspiration

11 Plan a 50-minute lesson using presentation slides to teach one or more of the curricular objectives existing within the CCSD CEF. Your Task
