Purpose – to prepare students for their Senior year and increase Counselor:Student interaction Individual meetings with Counselor through English classes November - December Juniors with English in 2 nd semester or at Career Center will be called out of class by Counselor by December 18

Parent Checklist provided is a good resource for families to stay on track Be aware of your child’s graduation requirements Use Counselors and Community as a resource Encourage independence and organization in your child

Eng. and Math /Transportation, Distribution and Logistics

 School Clubs / Activities / Athletics  Community Organizations / Service  The more significant and committed, the better!  Volunteer or Intern in field of interest  Job Shadow “The world is run by people who get involved!”

 College Savings  Federal Financial Aid – FAFSA yields federal Pell grants, student loans, other school/state based grants; to be completed beginning October 2016  Merit based and/or Athletic Scholarships – national, state, local (EFHS website, WS Foundation, Parent’s employers, Student’s employers, etc.)

 Students who want to play Division I or II college sports MUST register with the NCAA Clearinghouse ( by the end of their Junior yearwww.ncaaclearinghouse.net  The cost is $75 – fee waivers are available for qualifying students  ACT and/or SAT scores must be sent directly to NCAA by student
