Highlights - Inauguration SAKSHAM at Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli, Tamilnadu commenced on 21st June 2012 with 23 participants from different departments and affiliated colleges. Inaugural address was done by Dr. T. Ramaswamy, Registrar, Bharathidasan University. Inauguration was done by Dr. (Mrs.) K. Meena Vice-Chancellor, Bharathidasan University. Ms. Shivani Sahai, Program Manager (SAKSHAM), attended the inauguration. She explained about SAKSHAM and its benefits. She also shared contribution of Microsoft in Higher Education. Mr. K Balarubramani, Asstt. Prof., gave vote of thanks.

Highlights – Bharathidasan University The participants were enthusiastic and keen to learn. The following were the highlights of the programme: General Highlights The group was enthused about their knowledge and skill building. They were very excited about their IT enablement . The participants were open to new ideas and willing to experiment with them. There were lots of query sessions on IT usage particularly on Productivity programs. Participants wanting to clarify their doubts on simple topics like “auto-text” and mail merge to complex topics like data analysis using excel, pivot tables and creating 2D charts.

Take-aways – Bharathidasan University Participants found IT sessions very interesting. especially Microsoft Excel, Advance features of PowerPoint, LCDS and Office 365. Participants found activities like planning technology integrated lessons, visioning exercises as well as questioning and listening role plays very interesting and took part in these very enthusiastically. The sessions on Windows Accessibility Features for Specially Abled People was much appreciated by all. Participants took part in collaboration and motivational activities very enthusiastically.

Sound Bytes – Bharathidasan University The course content was very excellent. It is the blend of Special features of Microsoft latest teaching & leaning components. Jegankumar.
