The department of Civil Engineering was established in the year It offers B-Tech (Civil Engineering) programes. The department is focusing on Research and development activities besides regular teaching. Our strength is our faculty and staff. In our department we are having one professor, one associate professor and Ten assistant professor’s.
It is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works like roads, bridges, canals, dams, and buildings Students have access to every facility in the form of well-equipped labs.

SEMINARS
The department of Civil Engineering organised Seminar on “ REMOTE SENSING AND GEOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION SYSTEM” as a part of Skill Development Centre (SDC) at QIS College of Engineering and Technology. All the III and IV year students have attended this seminar. The speaker for the seminar was Mr. P Vasu. The students learnt about the process of remote sensing, sensors technology and also the applications of remote sensing technology in civil and various fields of engineering.

The Department of Civil Engineering organized Skill Development Centre (SDC) in QIS College of Engineering and technology on 3 major disciplines. 1. Introduction to Transportation Engineering, 2. Applied Surveying and 3. AUTO CAAD – 2D for II year civil engineering students also 1. Advanced highway Engineering, 2. Advanced surveying and 3. AUTO CAAD – 3D for III year civil engineering students. In order to gain more practical knowledge the department of civil engineering has introduced SDC which meets the needs of industry.

SPORTS
The students of Civil Engineering Department from QIS College of Engineering and Technology participated in National level Tournament conducted by the C R Engineering College. Students participated in various sports events and won the certificates and prizes.
The Civil Engineering students had participated NCC/NSS activities on Health camp program. The students conducted health camp at vengamukkapalem village and also blood donation camp in QIS college.

The main motto of our department is to provide quality education. The process of learning is extremely important in life. What you learn, how you learn and where you learn play a crucial role in developing one’s intellectual capability, besides career. I am proud to see that the students and faculty of our department have put in appreciable effort in to creating newsletter.
