Gmail There are two ways to access your account. – > MY LTS – FOR STUDENTS > SEMINARY – GMAIL.COM – Supply the required information and you are golden.
User Interface Are you familiar with Gmail? – LTS’ is an Enterprise version of gmail. – All the functions, buttons, look-and-feel is the same – You may customize your account to your taste (using the setting icon, gear, on the top right corner of your screen)
Sending No need to remember address of LTS users. – All you need is one of recipient’s name, start typing and it will auto fill. – Caution; you do not have the ability to send to groups.
Groups You may access groups from the “APPS” icon beside your address on the top right corner. You may browse to see the groups that are available. “Campus Happenings” is the only one you may join. This will help you keep abreast on events around the campus, especially those organized by fellow students. Click to open it and use the “join group” button to request to be added to the group.
Google Drive Using the “Drive” icon from the APPS groups will open up your personal storage space on Google. You may use it just like the hard drive space on your personal computer. This offers you the ability to access your files away from your personal computer. You may transfer files/folders from a computer to the drive by using “Upload” button on the top left corner. Familiarize yourself with the “Shared with me” link on the left of the screen. Some of the Proffesors use Google drive to send stuff to you.
Google Calendar / Contacts Both apps are available to you, again from the “apps” icon. Use them just like you would any other Calendar or Contact application. Convenience is the goal, have access to them wherever you may be, with web access.
