National Model Scanning Tour “Communications”

The Iowa Department of Public Safety administers a trusted statewide network of servers, PCs, service and telecommunications infrastructures for use by law enforcement and criminal justice personnel on the city, county, state, federal, and international level. Law enforcement personnel use the network to exchange investigative and intelligence information to prevent as well as solve crimes. The IOWA System serves as the conduit for terrorist alerts between the Office of Homeland Security, the FBI and law enforcement agencies within Iowa.
