Submitting Your Work Most written work can be submitted directly through the Turnitin link available on the module moodle page Please complete the essay cover sheet correctly The deadline is always MIDDAY Work submitted after the deadline will be awarded zero [unless you have been granted an extension] Extensions (you can apply for an extension) Don’t forget to keep a record of your Turnitin receipt Page 10

PGR – Progression and Monitoring You must prepare adequately for formal progress reviews and supervisory meetings. You must agree a schedule of meetings with your supervisor and keep a record of the meetings using the facilities on the Student Data System Meetings with your supervisor must take place once a month if you studying on a full-time basis and once every other month if you are studying on a part-time basis At the end of the academic year the School will host a research presentation event which you should attend Page 11

Teaching at Undergraduate level Training and support Annex Q (Research Student Teachers and Demonstrators) of the Code of Practice for Research Programmes of Studyhttp:// earch/annexq.html sets out the level of support that schools are expected to provide to their GTA. earch/annexq.html The Associate Fellowship Scheme is intended for people who undertake teaching and/or learning support as part of their work for the university. Research Centres The School of Arts' cross disciplinary research centres and groups provide a focus for staff and postgraduate student research activity. Each Centre hosts a programme of research events including international exchanges, conferences, seminars and symposia. Dedicated postgraduate study rooms The Postgraduate Room is situated on the second floor in the Jarman Building and contains PCs and a printer for postgraduate students to use.
