Last week we discussed having ready-made and quick-prep meals at your fingertips. How could managing your environment make it easier for you to prepare a healthy meals? What changes could you make in your kitchen to find room for prepping and storing make-ahead meals?

Which foods in your home, office, and car hold you back from success? Which foods help? How can managing your environment help set you up for weight-loss success? How could changing your surroundings lead to changes in your eating and activity? Your ability to achieve your weight-loss goals? Your belief that you can do it?

Where are your danger zones? Places where you’re most likely to do unplanned eating? What needs to happen for you to stay in control in those areas? How might it help to declare some spots “NO EATING” zones? Which foods are hard to control? When are you most vulnerable to overeating? Which healthy foods would satisfy you at those times?

Where can you stash hard-to-resist foods to avoid temptation? Which Power Foods do you always keep on hand? How could you make those healthy foods more readily accessible? Which healthy foods do you take to work? How does that help?

When a thinner, healthier lifestyle is your target, zero in on your environment as a starting point for change. Managing your environment—all the spaces in which you live and eat—can set you up for weight- loss success for the long term.
