Objectives To provide an understanding of the following –Specifications –Use –Maintenance –Safety

Specifications Steel tube construction 4 ft in length 2 hooks at different angles Pry head on opposite end

Use Breach walls and ceilings –Optimal for lath and plaster Ventilation and forcible entry –Breaking windows Prying

Maintenance Check for burrs or other damage Clean with mild soap and water Remove rust with wire wheel or brush Apply a thin coat of WD40 to any non painted metal surfaces May paint black to prevent rusting Keep handle wrapped with black cloth tape

Safety Wear appropriate PPE –Minimum of helmet, gloves, and eye protection Full turnouts and SCBA are required when utilizing tool in an IDLH atmosphere or when gaining entry into a possible IDLH atmosphere Check surroundings prior to using tool Ensure the tool is the right tool for the job
