Physical Changes in Puberty THE COMPLETE BOOK OF… Physical Changes in Puberty By Ryan 5C

What is Puberty Puberty is the time when our body change physically, emotionally and socially. We grow up from a child to an adult. Puberty is the quickest time to grow in our whole life. Girls are quicker than boys.

How does Testosterone cause Physical Changes Between the age of 8-15 years old you will start your puberty first the pituitary gland (located on the bottom of the brain) sends the hormone through blood cells to the testes (located under the penis) to start producing testosterone hormone and also sperm. The testosterone hormone makes most of the physical changes in a boy.

How does Estrogen cause Physical Changes Similar to boys, girls also start from the pituitary glands and sends the signal through the blood cells to the ovaries. The ovaries contain eggs that have been laying there since she was born. Then it starts to produce a hormone called estrogen. Estrogen also causes most of the physical changes in a girl.

Having more oil in face and cause pimples Hair grow in the pubic, facial, arm, knee, chest areas. Bones and muscles get bigger especially the shoulders. Penis grow bigger and start to make sperm More body oddor fromt the armpit. Larynx stretches and voice get deeper. Having wet dreams and erections

More pimples grow on the face. Breast and nipple get bigger. Bones and muscles get bigger. Hips getting curvier and wider. Pubic hair grow More body odder (smelly) Vagina getting bigger and having menstruation.

The Physical Changes in a Boy Boys grow hair (armpits, pubic, arm, knee, chest and facial hair). The bones and muscles get bigger especially at the shoulders get wider. The body will look more muscular. Voice will get deeper. Penis and testes gets bigger and thicker More body odder comes out. Pimples grow in face. Wet dreams and erections. Click to know more about voice & acne Press to skip to girls Click to know about wet dreams & erections

More about voice & acne (boys) VOICE: During puberty, the larynx of a boy gets bigger and it also stretches. This makes the voice getting deeper and making it cracking. It also makes a bump called “ADAMS APPLE” ACNE/PIMPLE: During puberty more oil grow in a boys face this makes a boy getting more pimples in his face but after puberty it will all be gone.

More about wet dreams & erections (boys) WET DREAM: When the signal reaches the testes it is told to start making sperm. Each day a boy could make up to 10.000.000 sperm cells. Luckily these sperm are microscopic. When the prostate gland is full it will come out in the matter of “wet dream”. ERECTIONS: Erections are when a boy’s penis get tough because it has much blood in it. Boys can have erections when they think about something sexy, at the morning or even when having wet dream Ejaculation: Ejaculation is when the penis erected and it shoots the sperm usually it does this in wet dreams and when making babies.

The Physical Changes in a Girl Breast and nipple get bigger (start to wear bra). Hips get curvier and hips getting wider. Having menstruation/ period. More body odder Girls grow hair pubic hair Pimples grow in face. Press to know more about menstruation

More about menstruation When a girl was born, it already has eggs in the ovaries. During puberty these eggs release and go to the fallopian tube to the uterus. When it is fertilized (baby) it will stay but if it is just passing it will leave through the vagina. This is normal and will happen to girls each 28 days. After a menstruation it will take 2 weeks to repeat the cycle again.

The difference & similarities between boys and girls Having wet dream and erections Having hair on various places Breast and nipple get bigger Voice getting deeper Having pimples in face Have menstruation Have “ADAMS APPLE” More body odder Hips getting more curvier Penis and testes get bigger. Get bigger and taller (muscles and bones) Muscular body

Diagram (boy) Before puberty the boy still small and can’t think like an adult. Changes haven’t been made yet. During the puberty period the boy starts to become bigger and thinks more like an young adult it also starts to feel and experience the changes. After puberty the “man” become much bigger and already thinks like an adult. He already experience the changes and finished all the changes.

Diagram (girls) After puberty the “woman” become much bigger and already thinks like an adult. She already experience the changes and finished all the changes. Before puberty the girl still small and can’t think like an adult. Changes haven’t been made yet. During the puberty period the girl starts to become bigger and thinks more like an young adult it also starts to feel and experience the changes.

Fun Facts!  When a boy is too fat estrogen hormone can grow and make the boy like a female. A milligram of sperm consist of millions of sperm A male ejaculate 1-2 table spoons of sperm each time.

Connection between boys & girls Both boys and girls are both similar the systems are the same and the process is also familiar. They both start in the same place and the difference is only the hormones also most of the changes both boys and girls face it.

Conclusion Even though girls and boys have different process in the puberty, we still should respect and be open-minded to the changes. Don’t do anything you shouldn't do . Tell the truth to your parents if you have some problems in your puberty. HAVE A NICE AND SUCCESSFUL PUBERTY!!!!! 
