Word of the Day Dower 6 th Grade Language Arts

Word of the Day Overview 0 It is easy to memorize terms and their definitions, but often we forget what they mean as soon as we don’t need them anymore. 0 When you learn how to use a word, it sticks in your vocabulary on a more permanent basis. 0 Each day (M-Th), you will receive a new vocabulary word.

Quizzes/Tests 0 Vocab Quizzes will be every Friday. If we don’t have school on Monday, you will only have three words. If we don’t have school on Friday, your quiz will be that Thursday instead of Friday. 0 At the end of each grading period, you will take a test over all of the words you have learned that grading period. 0 This will be our new vocabulary format for the remainder of the year. 0 If you miss a day(s), there will be a vocabulary list for you to copy at the front of the room. They will also be posted on my website.
