2 Registration Process  Starting the Conversation  Core Teachers make recommendations for next years’ classes in PLCs  Closed circuit presentations on Elective classes and registration forms/process for students  Registration Begins December 2015  Registration during Advisory for grades 9-11  Make-up registration for absent students  Letters will be sent home during second semester listing classes for next year. 2

6 CTE Honors Diploma  Complete a program of study with a B or better in a Pathway (2-3 sequential courses plus the specific academic course)  Meet or Exceed Proficiency on Performance Based Assessment  Also: Meet Detailed State CTE Requirements as outlined for each specific Pathway 6

9 College Readiness  4 Year Universities typically want:  4 years English,  3-4 years Math (at least Alg. 2),  3-4 years Lab Science,  3 years Social Studies,  2-3 years Foreign Language (Hawaiian not always accepted),  CA schools req. 1 Fine Art  Prefer a rigorous load Senior Year  College Applications identify Honors and AP Courses  Colleges Evaluate the Rigor of the Course Load  Dropping Rigorous Courses is Reflected on Transcripts 9

Requirements(application process)  GPA of 2.0 to 3.5.  May come from an “underrepresented” group  Should be able to complete four-year university requirements prior to graduation.  Must be a hard worker, have a positive attitude, and be collaborative in nature.
