For the right position, consider volunteering at a company Gets you excellent exposure to a company and demonstrates initiative and commitment to your chosen profession Could lead to future paid opportunities if you perform well Lambton College can provide WSIB insurance coverage & liability insurance for unpaid work terms with Ontario employers.

Minimum Plant Size Code for Qualifying Steam Time

Reality Check! We have maintained a 100% success rate in students securing co-op in the PETC program (between the two opportunities); HOWEVER, it is important to note that approximately 80-90% of the PETC co-ops are volunteer and outside of the Sarnia/Lambton area To take part in the 3 rd Class portion of the PETC program, the TSSA has said that only CERTIFIED 4 TH CLASS POWER ENGINEERS will be allowed to continue into the 4 th, 5 th & 6 th terms of the PETC program. You cannot become a certified 4 th Class Power Engineer without the additional 3 months industry steam time therefore co-op is essential. You must do whatever you have to do to secure that steam time!!!

Reality Check! Be aware of your competition All Power Engineering programs across Ontario are searching for the same steam time opportunities as you. You need to beat them to the opportunity! – DO NOT DELAY! With the decrease in the price of the barrel of oil, CPET opportunities are scarce. Soon they will be trying to get a volunteer steam time opportunity. You need to secure yours before they flood the market. – DO NOT DELAY!
