BALD EAGLES HAVE CERTAIN CHARACTERISTICS THAT MAKE THEM A BIRD. Here are some attributes: Birds are warm –blooded. Birds have ear holes instead of ears. They lay eggs in the tree. They have a lot of feathers and they have 2 wings and 2 legs.

. HERE IS DIAGRAM OF A EAGLE.

INTRODUCTION Have you seen a bald eagle or heard about it? After researching about the bald eagle I learned that this bird has adapted to his environment or surroundings in a variety of ways.

Eagles are carnivores. That means they are meat-eaters and they hunt during the day. That means they are diurnal and can see better during the day. They eat mostly fish. They also hunt and scavenge small mammals, snakes, and other birds. DIET

HABITAT The bald eagle lives by rivers and by lakes. This animal has chosen this habitat because it eats mostly fish and those animals are plentiful here. They hunt during the day and they are diurnal. When they fly they have a tail to balance themself and to go fast. They have talons to tear meat or food.

PHYSICAL ADAPTATIONS (WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE) The bald eagle has wings to go to different places. They want to catch their prey. Bald Eagles have 7,000 feathers. Bald Eagles catch their prey with their long, downward-curving, yellow bill. They have large keen eyes to look for their prey. The females are 30% larger then the males.
