Grading There will be 2 homework assignments (100 pts) There are 2 exams (200 pts.). There are 4 to 6 lab sessions (60 pts) There is subjective grade related to attendance and participation (40 points). Your grade will be calculated based upon the percentage of points you get divided by 400.

EXAM GRADES Each person will be individually graded on their exams.

Homework Assignments There will be 2 homework assignments. The class will be divided into groups of 3. Each week an individual will be randomly chosen from the groups to work a problem chosen from the homework assignment. The group will be graded on a 1 to 10 scale: 10No errors 9Minimal errors 7On the right track 5On the wrong track 3No track 1You showed up

Lab Assignments There are 4 to 6 lab assignments. There will a maximum of 2 in a lab group. Each person must submit a lab report. The problem will be graded on a 1 to 10 scale: 10Could not be done better 9Above average 7Average acceptable report 5Below average 3Very poor 1You were there
