6 1. Demonstrate a high level of competence and practical ability in the specification and design of digital signal systems. 2. Manipulate digital signals using z-transform, the DFT and FFT algorithms 3. Design digital systems and digital filters to meet specific characteristics 2013 - 2014 6 Intended Learning Outcomes

7 4. Select, apply and critically evaluate filter design methods. 5. Analyze and evaluate signal processing techniques. 6. Develop and demonstrate awareness, understanding and experience of DSP topics, including a significant individual investigation ( project) based on real-world applications and techniques. 7 Intended Learning Outcomes
