LABOUR EDUCATION (1) Education and training for the labour movement Labour education aimed at: Increasing the capacity of trade unions to plan and deliver educational programmes in line with their educational policies; Supporting the development and strengthening of specialized technical departments within trade unions; Within the broad notion of union capacity building labour education focuses its activities on building and strengthening a sustainable system of union education;+

LABOUR EDUCATION (2) Strengthening the process of organising and capacity- building of trade unions; Promoting gender mainstreaming in all the activities of trade unions Supporting networking with a particular aim of developing labour education networks at different levels, from national (sectoral) level to the regional dimension, Developing labour education at different levels, from the national level to the regional and international dimension. Supporting the ILO agenda on Decent Work and workers’ rights;+

Training methodology (1) Focus from trainer-centred to participant-centred Extensive use of active learning methods: full participation, validation of trade union experiences brought by course participants, trainers/facilitators, adaptation of the course content and pace via reports back and course assessments, Teaching methods based on a comparative approach/case studies/role playing and the extensive use of small group work Extensive use of IT and the Internet throughout course delivery Active role of course participant / design of work plans +

Training methodology (2) Labour education is education targeting unionists to help them to better perform their job and it is based on the use of training methodologies action oriented and able to bring together union members Training methodologies: that are designed for bringing individuals into a collective dimension action oriented. LABOUR EDUCATION:STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENTS (1) Creating a baseline information on labour education Developing a new generation of training activities that are made by a combination of delivery modes; online education, residential training and networking as a follow-up component Expand distance education courses and activities; Developing and supporting subject oriented regional educational networks;+
