POST-COURSE TRADE UNION FUNCTIONS To have capacitated and well informed Educators in Education Methodology, in order to effectively deliver information and training to members at all levels, (cascading effect).
DEFINING TRAINING NEEDS Lack of Training skills; Lack of ability to do research; Ineffective communication and networking skills; and Absence of Educators in some Affiliates.
DECIDING CONTENT AND METHODS IDENTIFYING TRAINING OBJECTIVES PREPARING EVALUATION PROCESSES ORGANIZING RESOURCES: STAFF/ FINANCES/ MATERIALS.
IDENTIFYING TRAINING OBJECTIVES To develop a cadre of competent educators, who would be able to deliver effective training programmes for their own unions.
DECIDING CONTENT AND METHODS Development of the following: 1.Educational Training Skills: - Training workshops, practical work & field exchange visits; 2.Research Skills: - Training workshops and practical work; 3.Communication Skills; - Training workshops and practical work; 4.Networking Skills: - Practical exercises.
EVALUATION PROCESSES Periodical evaluation e.g. quarterly; Periodical Follow – ups (2 or 3 times a year).
First draft of a national programme on labour education (2008) COURSE 1 Title: - Educators Methodology Duration: - Three weeks N° of participants: - 20 Venue: - Labour Centre School Specific Objectives of the course: - 1.to be able to plan and administer education programmes for affiliates; 2.Acquire effective communication and networking skills; and 3.Run educational programmes. Course Content: - 1.Needs assessment; 2.Training methods; 3.Lesson planning; 4.Budgeting and, 5.Course evaluation. Evaluation: - 1.Assess Course: - organisation; facilitation; content ; participation and administration. 2.Follow – ups.

Specific Objectives of the course:- 1.To acquire proper and effective research skills, and, 2.Collect and analyse data. Course Content: - 1.Research methods; 2.Data Capturing. Evaluation: - 1.Assess Course: - organisation; facilitation; content ; participation and administration. 2.Follow – ups.
