Automotive engineering By Tony De La Fuente

Job descripton  Automotive Engineering is a branch of vehicle engineering that deals with mechanical, electrical and safety engineering and designs and creates motorcycles, trucks, cars, buses, and other vehicles.

Required training  To be an Automotive Engineer, you must have a bachelors and masters degree. Although it is not required to have a masters, it’s always good to come prepared with more knowledge.

Skills and characteristics  To become and Automotive Engineer you must have a strong interest in motor vehicle engineering and design. You must also be good as solving problems and have excellent maths and IT skills. You must also have excellent technical skills and be good at communicating and presenting.

Typical wages  Automotive Engineers make about $68,340-$87,280 a year in motor vehicle manufacturing.

Job outlook  The overall job outlook for Automotive Engineering Technician careers have been negative since They have decreased by 6.00% since that time with an average decline of 1% per year. Demand for Automotive Engineering Technicians is expected to go up by 1,330 jobs by 2018.

Having an advanced degree or certification is helpful to obtain managerial positions.  Must be able to install both creative and functional features into a variety of vehicles. Automotive Engineers must be concerned with safety, fuel economy, vehicle dynamics and the overall performance of the car.
