TO HELP KEEP PEOPLE SAFE ON THE ROAD AND HIGHWAYS.
I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO BE AN INSPECTOR.
I AM VERY INTERESTED IN TRUCKS HOW THEY MOVE HOW THEY ROLL AND I AM INTERESTED IN ENGINES.

4. Career Description
Transportation inspectors enforce safety regulations in the transportation industry by examining vehicles and their cargo. Transportation inspectors perform inspections to enforce regulations and safety standards related to cargo and vehicles. Some inspectors patrol the highways and stopping commercial vehicles for inspections.
Inspectors need excellent knowledge of both vehicles and transportation regulations.

Short term goal - take automotive technology at Riverside and finish high School
Long term goal - go to British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) and take the Commercial Transport Mechanic Foundation CERTIFICATE

Post Secondary requirement - BCIT – Commercial Transport Mechanic Foundation CERTIFICATE

New hires receive extensive training, which often takes place both on-the-job and in the classroom. Experience or education related to automotive mechanics, the transportation industry, or law enforcement is very helpful
