14 Authored - H Rattliiff © All Rights Reserved. UME Prep Use Only. Various Chart Types – ref page Ex2.27 in book  In most cases the data area for all of these charts types is suitable for graphing and is interchangeable with each other. Exclude the summary or totals that calculate the row items or column totals.  Pie charts  Bar chart  Column Charts  Line charts  Tables are also used as generalized form of presenting data and information but typically include the row or column subtotal amounts for display with the data.  Other are mostly industry specific:  Area charts /Doughnut charts/ XY scatter charts (data plots ) & Bubble charts are very commonly used in statistics and marketing professionals  Radar charts and surface charts are most commonly used in throughout the STEMs fields such as engineering and math  Stock charts used a lot in business professionals (stock brokers/ business journals, etc)
