Time will be allotted to work in class on the “To Be” Resume’ that is due on Fri April 25, 2014 – Do your brainstorming now on “What items you might want to include in your resume in your Junior/Senior year” !! Project forward – what things you might need in a resume’ (what and where are the gaps ??) and how strong a resume’ is needed to get that internship/camp position/etc. Ask teachers/advisors/parents for input/ideas. Seek out and use your resources. Remember the OPP (One Page Plan) approach. Identify resources and tools that can be used to create the best products.

Minor Graded Assignment – Prepare/Update a “To Be” Resume’ by Fri April 25  Similar to prior resume’ assignment using Microsoft Word. Back in Jan you prepared an “As Is” Resume’. This exercise is a continuation of the past exercise in which you will combine (merge) existing skills and qualifications with several new skills or goals you would like to include on your resume’. as accomplishments by your Junior or Senior year.  This exercise will help identify and focus in on key goals and dates you would like to include on your professional resume’ in the future. Use Word to prepare a short document 1 – 2 page professional resume’ describing your education, work history, certifications, etc.. The document should be prepared well enough that you can use it when you are applying for a job or used for academic purposes in your Junior and Senior year of High School.
