Special Wording in a Fairy Tale A fairy tale has a special phrases such as: “Once upon a time” “Once there was” “A long, long time ago” “They lived happily every after”

Characters of a Fairy Tale Imaginary characters, such as dragons, fairies, witches, giants, and elves.

Characters of a Fairy Tale A kind character, who is usually mistreated An evil (wicked) character

Royalty in a Fairy Tale Royal characters, such as kings, queens, princes, and princesses appear in a fairy tale.

Numbers of a Fairy Tale Things appear or happen in threes, such as the two evil stepsisters and the evil stepmother.

Problem & Solution of a Fairy Tale A difficult problem, often appearing impossible to unravel, is solved by the end of the story. Cinderella’s lost slipper
