Project #5 Mrs. HoltKK-04

100 – One Hundred This number was on the wall outside the office. It tells everyone that the office is in room number 100. You have to go to the office to sign in when you are late, when your mom is not at the bus stop, or when your in big trouble.

19 – nineteen In the office we found the number 19. It is a flip chart that changes everyday to tell you the date. It is sort of like a calendar.

20 - twenty There are 20 juices in the box. You drink it. My favorite is purple. You have to know how many are in the box so you know if there is enough to share with your class.

47 - forty-seven We have 47 on the telephone. It is part of the time. So you know what time it is to get out of school.

50 - fifty This number was on the printer. Paper comes out of this machine. It is hooked up to a computer. You need this so you can get some school papers or papers to work with.

28 – twenty-eight We found this number on a giant white board that looked like a calendar. It had lots of words on it. It tells what is happening at our school.

12 - twelve There are lots of numbers on the clock. A clock has hands that tell you the time. You have to know numbers so you know when to come to school and when to go home.

Corduory and I found lots of numbers in the office. I learned that numbers are all over town and even in the office at school. You have to know numbers so you know where you are going and what time you have to be there.

I CHOSE CCSS STANDARD: CC.K.NBT.1 Work with numbers 11+ to gain foundations for place value. Understand that these numbers are composed of tens and ones. Domain: NBT: Number Operations in Base Ten: Relating numbers to our world. AND ASKED MY STUDENT(S) TO CREATIVELY DEMONSTRATE THEIR UNDERSTANDING BY creating a PowerPoint or book about their math adventures with Corduroy. TO ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTION: What numbers can Corduroy find in our world? Statement of Purpose
