BEGINNING OF THE YEAR ACTIVITIES September 2012 – Mrs. Taylor’s Class

Letter Experts: We have started having our classmates be the “experts” in our room. Each child will have a chance to teach the class about one special letter.

We are writers! We are already starting to become authors and illustrators. We are making sentences, reading messages from Mrs. Taylor, and writing our own stories.

Centers: The time we enjoy the best is when we have centers. We rotate in groups to blocks, puzzles, kitchen, library, math workshop, and other special centers like magnets. This is how we end the day!

Math Workshop: We have spent the last few weeks exploring the materials in the room. We get to use snap cubes, pattern blocks, buttons, attribute blocks, geoblocks and there’s more to come.
