 Frederick Crocker was the commander for the Union in both battles.  J.S. Irvine was the commander for the Confederacy.

 J.S. Irvine did not have any recorded pictures.

 This battle lasted from Sept. 24 th to Sept. 25 th.

 Irvine ordered his artillery spiked and then retreated during the night. The town of Sabine surrendered.

 This battle strengthened the Union Navel blockade.

 The Union left Sabine and the Confederacy took over.

 Fred Crocker is still the commander of the Union. J.S. Irvine and LT. Richard W. Dowling are the commanders of the Confederacy.

 This battle lasted from Sept. 8, 1863, 6:30 a.m., to 3:40 p.m.

 The US had 200 wounded –killed, and 2 gunboats sunk. The Confederacy had none.

 The Confederacy won this battle.

 This battle inspired other Confederate troops to fight on harder.

 44 Confederate men were sent as punishment to Ft. Griffin. The Union army came and were attacked. The Confederacy forced the Union Flotilla to retire and captured gunboat Clifton.
