Introduction Diamond Grove, Missouri Worked as a slave in Newton County, Missouri Born: July 12,1864 Died: January 5 th 1943

Family One brother named William Thomas Carver and only two sister named Susan Marie Carver and Isabellea Amilliea Carver

Where He Worked He worked at a local research lab with other scientists from Booker T. Washington, to popularize use of the new plants by developing hundreds of applications for them through original research and also by promoting recipes and applications that they collected from others.

What Were They Famous For He was famous for inventing different uses for the common peanut He also managed to create a way to put the proper minerals back into the soil, so the soil wouldn't turn into a barren wasteland. He also created hundreds of uses for peanuts, soybeans, and sweet potatoes.sweet potatoes

How did it impact society George Washington Carver made a big impact on the with his magnificent knowledge and study of agriculture and plants. He knew a lot about plants he was interested in plants ever since he was twelve. He was mostly known as the peanut doctor. He made dozens of new products with peanuts, but his most famous one was peanut butter.study

One fact I found interesting When George Washington Carver was just an infant, he and his mother, Mary, were kidnapped by bandits. His "owner" Moses Carver offered a $ racehorse for their return but the bandits return George and kept his mother. It's believed that he was returned because George had the whooping cough.
