1 African American Biography George Washington Carver By: BA

2 Birth George Washington Carver was born in July 12,1864 at Diamond Grove Missouri. George Washington Carver was born of slaves. He left the farm where he was born. When he was about ten years old and eventually settled in Minneapolis, Kansas where he worked his way through high school.

3 Early Life George Washington Carver loved plants and animals. As a baby George Washington Carver Got taken away and was found on the side of the road.

4 Adult Life He wanted to go to college. He put a W in his name and it stands for Washington. African American scientist George Washington carver developed ways to make such products as coffee, soap, ink, cheese, dyes, and plastics from peanuts.

5 Significant Accomplishments He made ways to use peanuts. George Washington carver gave 300 ways to use the peanuts. He would work hard to earn money. He always took a bag with him when he would travel, or go somewhere, the bag is there because he wants to collect plant samples.

6 Death George Washington Carver died on January 5, 1943 in Tuskegee Alabama.
