3. Personal Information Benjamin was born on Nov.9, 1731 in Baltimore County, Maryland Benjamin grew up with his mom Mary, dad Robert, grandmother Molly, grandfather Banneka, and his three sisters. His grandmother Molly taught him from 6-15 years of age. When he was 15 years old he started to go to school with whites. He was an astronomer, almanac author, scientist, surveyor, and farmer. He died on Oct. 9, 1806 on his farm.

5. Qualities He wrote six almanacs. This is Benjamin’s wooden clock. This is one of his almanacs. An almanac is an annual reference book of useful and interesting facts relating to countries of the world, sports, entertainment, etc. He made a clock out of wood and even the gears were out of wood.

Timeline Of Benjamin’s Life 11/9/1731-Benjamin was born. 1737-Benjamin’s name was put on the deed for his fathers land. 1737-Benjamin starts school with whites. 1751-Benjamin turns 20. 1753- Benjamin invented a wooden clock. 1789-Benjamin became famous for predicting an eclipse correctly. 1791- Benjamin got a letter from Thomas Jefferson. 1792- Benjamin designed our nations capital. 10/9/1806-Benjamin died.
