Community Service Project Transfer Student Program Developing Learning Leading Networking Giving

Purpose & Initial Objectives  The purpose of the community service project is to connect transfer students with the Bryan/College Station community.  Establish programs to participate in  Peer mentors will act as liaisons between the program and the transfer students  Transfer students will be encouraged to participate monthly Serve. Lead. Learn

Guidelines  Students should….  Be respectful when participating at the program  Dress appropriately  Not participate in anything they feel uncomfortable doing  Always log participation hours  Have FUN Serve. Lead. Learn

Monthly Schedule (subject to change) September  College of Ag  College of Education October  College of Engineering  College of Architecture  College of Liberal Arts  College of Geoscience  College of Business November Serve. Lead. Learn Note: All students will be asked to sign-up to volunteer, but the liaison for that month will come from the colleges listed above.

Documentation of Service Hours  Peer mentor(s) will send out asking for volunteers to sign up and also mention pertinent information (name of organization, time, date, appropriate dress, consent waiver, etc.)  Name, UIN, consent waiver received, etc. is required on the “event form”  Peer mentor will enter information into the “event form” once the volunteer opportunity has ended (hours “worked”) Serve. Lead. Learn
