SELF REFLECTION COLLAGE MATRICE LYNEE’ LUMPKIN

PAST LIFE Looking back on this, I feel I have done just that. I broke down my thoughts and felt like I came to life in everything I wrote. “In a comment my senior English teacher wrote on my paper is that I would have a great writing habit if I just “let loose” and engage in my writing a little more.”

After getting this comment from Cindy, it made each reading more comprehendable and a very valuable source that will take me far in the readings I get for all my classes. It was greatly appreciated and truly needed. “When you’re faced with a complicated reading like that, just take one line at a time. It’s painstaking, I know. But if you break it down sentence by sentence and word by word, it really does get more clear.” (Cindy Bateman. Confusion mania comment.)

WALL-E’S WORLD “What was interesting to me was how the fat people didn’t do anything for themselves. They became prone to the robots doing every single thing for them.” Looking at this statement I made it kind went right with my Wall-e analysis topic on how I felt the robots were taken advantage of by the humans and not appreciated.

Persuasive Essay time The thought of this just dreaded my thought process. I didn’t want to think twice about this but slaughterhouse topic or what had to be in it but I knew it had to be done, no if and or buts about it. Writing the essay about the slaughterhouse reading came together with the help of Cindy and how I knew this was the time where I really had to bring this paper to life with all the ideas that flew from my head on to paper.

My persuasive essay was well thought out and my opinions and ideas came about without having to use any one else’s thoughts or views in my own ideal paper. I feel Cindy gave us some specifics but it was our opinion and our own way we can do the paper. I really like that because I don’t like feeling pressured to do something, I feel it should be my own flow with some guidance to get me started on a great path to a successful paper.

EAARTH TIME In my blog Big and small. Going Green????, I talked about how this having BIG things don’t really phase me much. I’m more of a laid back and simple person. When we talked about either having a big mansion or a one bed room apartment, I would most likely want the one bed room apartment because I don’t like all these fancy and shiny things that people rave over.

WALL-E’S BACK I really loved the movie wall-e and was very excited, on the inside, when the movie was going to be watched again in class. But I was really not prepared for the analysis that was coming afterward. Coming up with a topic was kind of hard because I had many ideas in my mind but just wasn’t sure on what I wanted to write about.

Analysis Analysis Analysis When I came up with the idea of how the robots were taken advantage of by the humans, I just knew it would be a very nice paper. I hope this would be a breeze and it definitely was. Even though my paper didn’t turn out the way it was suppose to, I think my idea came to life and turned out alright.

LOOKING THROUGH Going through my journey in writing, I can say that I have grown in becoming a better writer. Papers aren’t as bad as I make them to be anymore, but my main problem is getting my time management skills in order in letting myself have more time on the paper instead of doing it a day or two before. I am learning from my mistakes in the hopes of becoming the best writer I can be.
