Who? Open to anyone who cycles or is interested in cycling. Racing… Riding… Touring… Unicycles! WACO

What? A multi-level cycling club with meetings, membership, mission, leadership, membership in umbrella organization and budget. (oh… and awesome rides!) WACO

Meetings Establishing regular meetings outside of the framework of meeting to ride: Get to know other cyclists as people not wearing jerseys. Plan rides, parties, trips and…. Barbeques. Meet to discuss how to advance our shared agenda of having more awesome rides. WACO

Membership Membership Application: serves as a waiver and limits liability to members and the club. Small Membership Fee: provides budget for meeting space, documents, insurance, keeping the club “Afloat”. Member Credentials: shows the world that you are a member of a club. Benefits: the member of the club enjoys benefits that non-members do not enjoy (discounts, member only events, etc.) Membership Database: Allows us to track it all and keep everyone up to date on events, rides, etc.

Mission WACO “The West Atlanta Cycling Organization is an organization dedicated to the promotion of the general interest of cycling, to provide a cycling- related social forum and to encourage safe bicycling within our membership and the communities in which our members live, work and ride.”

Leadership Every member will have the opportunity to nominate and elect leadership including President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. Additional directors including Social Activities Director, Safety and Education Director, Advocacy Director, Rides Director, Touring Director, Racing Director, Chief Barbeque Officer… as the members see fit. WACO

Membership in Umbrella Organization WACO Insurance via Amerspec $1.65/member/yr. ($91 minimum) 1 million liability/member PIP Special Event Insurance Tony (260)

Bank Account Together with a treasurer keeps everyone legit and above-board. WACO

Where? Hiram, West Atlanta, Georgia, USA, Earth… When? First meeting today… congratulations! Elect officers March or April? 50 members by May 1 st ? 150 members by end of summer? WACO
