located ready for levelling/aligning

MLCR Rack bases delivered beginning on this week. DPM for the floor completed by Friday. Network rack delivered next week. PPS rack, populated and tested delivered the week after (15th) Remaining racks the week of the 23rd. Walls delivered week of the 8th and installed by the end of the following week at the latest. Air con and power to start as soon as the walls are constructed and estimated to take three weeks so complete by 9th November. Construction of the roof to occur in parallel. Network connection to RAL site to start as soon as the racks have been Delivered. A wireless access point to be set up as soon as possible. Further wiring into the hall to follow. Too much civil still going on to start too early.

Electrical Infra-structure Drawings for distribution design complete –Final checks in progress, issue next week MICE Hall cable route design including LCR complete –Busbar trunking removed –AC supply re-used as LCR feed Cable schedule for magnet power converters complete –Installation plan for DC and control cables to be agreed Specification for power converters AC distribution scheme complete –Installation in progress –Accelerator Dipole Power Converter requires direct feed – Budget price received Specification for RF System AC distribution scheme complete –Awaiting price for installing distribution board –Installation to commence within next 2 weeks LCR tray work design complete –Rack support frames delivered –Tray work to be installed Sequence of installation to be agreed –Raised floor to be installed Cryogenic Soleniod –Compressor supply installed –Distribution Board installed –AC temporary supply agreed for tests Phase 2 electrical requirements under review –Detailed information for all systems required

Magnetic Shield South Wall: Drgs complete Support structure requote- Ready to build Material identified Preparations to start procurement North wall: Design being finished. Overall schedule to be prepared

MICE – platforms and baseplates CONCEPT – PLATFORM WITH AIR SKATES CLAMPED TO BASEPLATE IN INSTALLED LOCATION. WHEN ACCESS IS REQ’D THE CLAMPS ARE RELEASED AND THE TRACKER IS FLOATED TO A PARKED POSITION.

Platform review Design review last week: Supported mass up by 25% (7-9t) Clarification of cables esp. ‘live’ Not yet ready for production Clear issues before re-reviewing
