Paolucci INFN-Napoli Muon Annul Review Cern 15 September 2003 RPC cabling Rack composition in UXC Calculation per quadrant (Barrel) 3 LV modules (A3003)/quadrant (6 EASY crate slots) Current absorption calculations: –2 Lbboxes x 13 LBs = 26 LBs –1 Lbbox x 15 LBs = 15 LBs –41 LBs/quadrant –Current absorption: 14A/LB (estimation) –14A x 41 LBs = 574 A/quadrant –We need 6 A3100 CAEN LV module (4 slots width each) –We need a total of 24 slots  1 + 1/5 EASY crates per tower –This fit with the 2 x 6U crates foreseen for RPC.

Paolucci INFN-Napoli Muon Annul Review Cern 15 September 2003 RPC cabling Rack composition in UXC towers

Paolucci INFN-Napoli Muon Annul Review Cern 15 September 2003 RPC cabling Conclusions We are ready for asking a cable PRR –we are just collecting all necessary documentations Before the end of this year we start tenders –this implies to know exactly total lengths Open issues: –Cable path (to be approved very soon)
