3 Magnet test and cosmic challenge
We plan to have 3 DT sectors in 2 wheels (YB+2 and YB+1) ~ total of 14 DTs. HV needs: 1 SY1527, 5 A876 and 14 A877. We are ready to use a version of HV DCS which is completely integrated with the DCS of CMS (done in January 2005). This version uses FSM and Configuration and Condition DBs. We can access our data also from Oracle with ROOT. LV Needs: 2 A3486, 1 A1676A, 5 A3009, 8 A3050, 2 A3100. We just received part of this material and have developed the PVSS control project for this EASY equipment. 09/02/2006 HV, LV systems status for Magnet Test

12 Magnet test and cosmic challenge
We want to test the complete HV chain using the final Kerpen and Novacavi cables, and the patch panels which connect the A876 boards located in the control room to the A877 boards located in the racks on the detector balconies. We have to prepare the cables (material is available) and the patch panels. Will use 2 rack mounted PCs: 1 for the HV control and one for the DT supervisor and the LV control. 09/02/2006 HV, LV systems status for Magnet Test

Conclusions For the magnet test we plan to power a total of 14 DTs in sector 10 of wheel YB+1 and sectors 10 and 11 of wheel YB+2. The HV system used will be the final one manufactured by CAEN. PVSS project with FSM integrated with the central CMS DCS will be available for both HV and LV systems. First prototype PVSS project already running at SX5. We are missing some EASY modules. We did not order 1 A3009 and 1 A3050. Want to use final cables, patch panels, etc. which so far we are missing for both HV and LV. 09/02/2006 HV, LV systems status for Magnet Test
