Wally the Water Drop The Water Cycle By Erin Stork

Wally the Water Drops Life Wally has to write a story about his life. He needs your help telling the story. He is afraid he will mix up important words. Read through each slide and decide what two mistakes Wally made on each slide.

Evaporation I begin my life as a drop of fresh water in the ocean. When the wind blows and the sun is beating down on me, I start to get tired. I decided to go from a solid to a gas. fresh solid

Condensation As I go from a solid to gas I go into clouds. This process is called condensation. solid go into

Precipitation After I have gone into clouds, it starts to get crowded. Instead of staying up there where it is crowded, I decide to fall to the moon as rain (unless it is cold and then sometimes I fall as snow, sleet or hail.) into the moon

Teacher Page Benchmark There are two mistakes on each page. Read through each paragraph and have the students point out the mistakes. The mistakes will flash in red when you click the mouse. The correct answers are on the following page. After you read through everything have the students draw the water cycle and label each part. Benchmark The student will be able to recognize the water cycle. The student will be able to name the stages of the water cycle. The student will be able to explain the water cycle.

Mistakes on slide 3 Should be salt water and liquid Mistakes on slide 4 Should be liquid and forms clouds Mistakes on slide 5 Should be forms clouds and earth
