New Vocabulary (LOS terms) Evaporation Condensation Collection Precipitation

Introduction The water cycle (also known as the hydrologic cycle) takes the water through a journey. In the water cycle the water goes up from the ground to the air. The water goes through many stages.

Condensation Condensation is a stage that the water goes through. Condensation is when the water vapor turns back in to a liquid. After it forms in to a cloud. This causes perspiration which is the next step.

Perception Perception is when their is a lot a water in the air and it can't hold it anymore. This takes place in the clouds. The clouds get really heavy and the water has to come out. It can come out in many different ways, it could come out in: snow, rain, sleet, or hail.

Evaporation When the sun heats up the water in lakes or rivers or streams it is called evaporation. Next the water vapor or steam leaves the river, lake, or ocean in the air.

Collection When water falls to earth as perception, it could fall into a river, lake, stream, or ocean this is called collection. When water falls on the ground it soak in to the ground this is called "ground water". The ground water is useful to animals because they drink it to keep them hydrated.

Questions 1)What is condensation? 2)Tell 3 ways perception could come out as? 3)When the sun heats up lakes and streams it is called ________?
