 Human life begins at conception (Psalm 139:13-16). Any method of contraception that interferes with the healthy development of a fertilized egg (a "zygote") should be avoided.  God is the originator of all life; therefore, life is sacred (Psalm 139, Job 31:15).  Contraception needs to be prayerfully determined by you as a couple. There is no specific instruction in Scripture about the size of a family. Make your decisions based on guidance from God and His Word, and not from the principles of the world (Romans 12:1-2).  God has given humankind authority, responsibility, and guardianship to protect human life (Genesis 1:26 and Exodus 20:13).

Moral case against contraception (ANTI)  Contraception is unnatural  Contraception is anti-life  Contraception is a form of abortion  Contraception carries health risks  Contraception makes it easier for people to have sex outside marriage  Contraception allows people (even married people) to have sex purely for enjoyment Moral case for contraception (PRO)  the use of condoms helps prevent sexually transmitted diseases and HIV  it prevents the conception of children that a family cannot support  it enables women whose health would be at risk if they conceived, to continue to have sex  it enables world population to be controlled and thus protects the environment and reduces poverty  and so reduces the number of possible abortions
