DAS Dynamic Assembly System FEATURES OF DYNAMIC ASSEMBLY SYSTEM Name of Dynamic Assembly System (DAS) is pointing out system adaptability to needs of production. It is developed with a consideration to lack of existing assembly systems. Following slides are describing features of DAS which are not available in any other systems all same time:

Line layout AFM Initiation Arbetsstation2&4 Lifter for Dyn Buff Test Arbetsstation1&3 Tot ca 16,5m

GENERAL 1.ESD protected, clean room capable, space saving construction 2.Maintenance free construction, no change of belts or re- tensioning of them 3.Pallet suitable for automation use 4.Centralized diagnostic and programming interface in workstation modules (option through of net with SPC) 5.Life cycle cost efficiency 6.World wide support-organization 7.Best recourses for development of each section (HW, SW, Automation) 8. Short lead time for new installations

DAS Features of production flow 1. Faster transverse units and conveyors => do not slow down mainline flow. Short transportation (cycle) times allows one product per pallet 2. Workstations are independent, pallet in feed and out feed is not depend other modules, because station has own independent IN/OUT units. Also module has own r/w units in both transverse. This makes faster read/write with higher accuracy. It increases capacity of the whole line 3. Middle line always free for flow. Work is made always "off line" but with "in line" efficiency => parallel and serial work phases are possible. 4. Electrically driven functions => fast and quiet, no accumulation. 5. Possibility to use opposite workstation of the line for sequential work phases. It allows short test-repair circulation inside of module 6. Effective use of space, stations have buffer for two pallet before work phase and two pallet after. There is never waiting time to send pallet or receive it. Work can continue without brakes. Capacity of line is bigger 7. Both side workstations easy and independently changeable => production does not stop because removal of workstation

DAS Modularity 1. Each workstation is similar in both side of line => changeable. 2. Both side of main line can have automatic station => space saving 3. No need of start modules because every workstation have them self all needed functions (In/Out) => Space and money saving independent modules. 4. Change of modules is fast and reprogramming is not needed. 5. Energy supply of user is organized with modular cabling as well 6. Automation modules user interface and maintenance is focused one side of line (usability, use of space and out look is improving) material feeding is organized from other side of line (if feeding is needed) This arrangement allows automatic kiting function. 7. Decentralized modular control system supports modularity

DAS Ergonomic 1. Ergo Level function allows use of height adjustable (motorized) workstations together with fixed height workstations in same line. 2. Ergo Level function allows easy connection of manual workstations (h=700+) and SMEMA standardized automation modules (h=900). 3. Space underneath of work table is easy to use also in ergo version 4. Whole area of workstation is possible to use effectively in ergo version 5. There is space enough to rotate pallet if needed in workstation 6. Workstation are identical in both side of line, interchangeable 7. Freely selectable workstation accessories (supplier independent) => Larger assortment, better ergonomic. Made for use in assembly lines. 8.Individually changeable table tops => better ergonomic and out look. 9.Electrically driven functions in modules are fast and quiet.

DAS Control 1. Advanced modular control allows modifications and enlargements of line without reprogramming or specialists. 2. Ethernet network between modules (option) => centralized configuration, data collecting etc. is possible without danger of centralized control failures. 3. Dynamic AFM software included as standard for flow control, production control, information transfer and collection etc. Allows optimization of flow. 4.Includes dynamic routing, workstation prioritization (also for parallel phases) => balanced distribution of pallet to workstations 5. Dynamic connection to factory control network (with GEM protocol) 6. SPC basic properties in-build to system 7. Possibility to ‘forced set’ function in so called "calamity" situation
