Theodore Roosevelt Reduced the power of the trusts. Began conservation of wildlife.

Progressive politician Bob La Follette. Called “Battling’ Bob,” he was Governor of Wisconsin and later a United States Senator. As governor of Wisconsin, he promoted reforms in state government.

Jane Addams - founder of Hull House. It was the model for the Settlement House movement.

Ida Tarbell Her main work was an expose of the Standard Oil Trust. She showed how Rockefeller and his company had used unfair practices such as artificially low transportation rates and bribery to drive smaller companies out of business.

Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton In 1869, the two formed the NWSA and in 1890, they joined with others to create the NAWSA.
