What has this got to do with you – the teaching staff?

 Be aware that the SRF process has begun.  Recognise that the SRF will hopefully lead to the ICT Mark.  Be aware that a folder exists on Office called SRF.  Recognise that we will all be involved in the SRF.  Need to demonstrate the use of ICT in planning.  Likely Review of the Eight Elements by the teaching staff.  Provision of ‘ Evidence ’ in accordance with the Action Plan.  Be aware that a Gantt Chart exists the SRF folder – you may wish to keep a hard copy in your planning file.Gantt Chart

What is the SRF, and what does it entail?

The ICT self-review framework comprises eight elements: Leadership & Management Curriculum Learning & Teaching Assessment Professional Development Extending Opportunities For Learning Resources Impact On Pupil Outcomes

E.g. Learning & TeachingLearning & Teaching Score the strand. Generate an action to enable the reviewer to provide appropriate evidence to support the score. The ‘ICT Mark’ What is the SRF, and what does it entail?

The ICT Mark - Why bother?

The ICT Mark – Why bother? The ICT Mark is an externally assessed quality mark against which organisations can measure whether they have reached a recognised standard of maturity in their use of technology.

The ICT Mark – Why bother? Verifies your own self-review judgements Recognises whole school improvement Provides an opportunity to be seen as centre of excellence Provides you with credibility for hosting visits and providing services Provides an opportunity for learners to celebrate their use of ICT Gives parents confidence that technology is being used effectively Informs parents that you offer better communication to families and homes

The ICT Mark – Why bother cont’d? Informs other schools and organisations that you are a potential partner for extending opportunities for learning through technology Strengthens your bids for involvement in new initiatives Recognises your commitment to self-review and evaluation Recognises your commitment and hard work Includes promotional material and guidance on how to use the ICT Mark to promote your school.

How does it add value?? Improves the learning and teaching of ICT. Ensure we utilise our resources fully.
